We at Devonport Live are delighted to announce that plans for the future of South Yard in Devonport Dockyard are being discussed on December 9th, this will be to ask the council to commit to £5 million from its investment fund to continue work in the area.
This will include space for 1,200 jobs; fifteen new building and new leisure facilities in the 23 acre site.
The fifteen new building will provide new office and workshop space for new businesses. The existing ten buildings will be redeveloped with a new car park.
Council Leader Tudor Evans explains, “This whole scheme is about creating jobs – hundreds of them – and the council wants local people to seize the opportunity with both hands."
