The Burnt Out Theatre Company to perform in Plymouth

The Burnt Out Theatre Company will be performing in Plymouth as part of their tour of the UK. The theatre company will be visiting fifteen cities including the South West, which have all had a connection with the transatlantic slave trade.
The Burnt Out Theatre Company are a Surrey-based theatre company made up of actors, singers, and musicians. They tour vibrant productions of Shakespeare and new-writing in London and the South of England.
Their play Muscovado is being performed at Stoke Damerel Church on Sunday 19th April at 6.30pm and again on Monday 20th at 7.30pm.
The play will be a heady mix of sexual intrigue, piercing choral music and extreme racial tension, Muscovado provides an unflinching portrayal of life on a sugar plantation in 1808, accompanied by an original musical score and atmospheric soundscape performed live by the cast.
