Do you love arts and crafts? Want a chance to meet new people? Craft Swap Group is the ideal way to do both of these whilst taking part in a variety of fun arts and crafts activities.
Ranging from Silk Painting, Wool Spinning, Knitting, Crochet and even new Sewing sessions being introduced soon, there really is something for everyone, even beginners.
This group is a fantastic way to develop new skills; “Whether you are really creative, or like me struggle to draw a straight line, they help you learn something new and give you a sense of achievement and pride.”
Craft Swap Group gives you the opportunity to work on a range of exiting projects, or simply bring your own and join in.
The group has had some very positive responses from the attendees; “I used to start projects all the time, but never had the motivation to finish them. With the craft swap group I have managed to make cushions, scarves, blankets and even learned to paint silk. The motivation that the lovely people that come can give you is beyond measurable.”
“The craft group is a chance to meet new people, old friends, continue a project or learn something new through exchanging skills. It helps to build self-esteem and a stronger sense of community.”
If you’re interested in joining Craft Swap Group, it starts from 10am on a Thursday morning at the George Street Cafe. The team will provide you with great coffee, cake and materials. There is a suggested donation of £1 to help provide this.
